WASHINGTON, July 17, 2025 — The Modern Skies Coalition appreciates Congress for recognizing its obligation to continue funding air traffic control (ATC) modernization efforts. The $12.5 billion previously secured was a necessary downpayment—but only the beginning. Today’s markup affirms the need for sustained investment in staffing, systems and technology to overhaul our ATC system.
Continued congressional action is essential to delivering a safer, more efficient national airspace that can meet the demands of today’s skies and generations to come.
