
WASHINGTON, July 3, 2025 — The Modern Skies Coalition applauds the House for approving $12.5 billion for air traffic control modernization and recognizing that a modern National Airspace System (NAS) is vital to our economy and the millions of Americans who rely on it every day. This is a meaningful first step toward replacing outdated technology and aging facilities with the tools needed to keep our skies safe and efficient for decades to come.
The Modern Skies Coalition—which is comprised of more than 50 aviation and aerospace organizations—remains committed to working with lawmakers, regulators and industry partners to ensure that the system is fully staffed and that this investment translates into real progress, guaranteeing the United States will continue to have the safest aviation system in the world.
